In an exciting step toward clean energy access and economic empowerment, five remarkable women from the communities of Ako, Misaje, Nkambe, Binshua, and Ndu have successfully completed their training at the H4BF Women and Girls Empowerment Center in Nkambe. This marks a significant milestone in our ongoing Clean Energy for All Project, bringing sustainable energy solutions and income-generating opportunities to some of Cameroon’s most undeserved regions.
The Power of Training: A Path to Independence and Sustainability
The training, focused on solar installation, maintenance, and basic business management, equips each woman with valuable skills to install and manage solar systems, providing them with a new source of income and creating a ripple effect of positive change in their communities. With this training, each beneficiary will soon operate a solar system installed at her community center. This not only provides affordable phone charging services a much-needed resource in these areas—but also establishes each woman as a leader and innovator in her community.
Expanding Access to Clean Energy Products
In addition to offering phone charging services, these women will be retailing durable solar lamps and clean cookstoves to their neighbors. These products are game-changers in communities that traditionally rely on costly and polluting energy sources, such as kerosene and firewood. With access to solar lighting, households enjoy better air quality, improved safety, and reduced energy costs. Clean cookstoves further support healthier living by minimizing indoor pollution and reducing the need for firewood, which helps preserve local forests.

Economic Empowerment and Environmental Impact
This project isn’t only about providing clean energy—it’s about creating economic opportunities and fostering environmental stewardship. By building their own small businesses around clean energy products, these women gain financial independence and become role models in sustainable practices. The environmental impact is equally important: by helping reduce reliance on firewood, the project supports biodiversity conservation and contributes to the fight against climate change.

Building Resilience in Crisis-Affected Areas
In Cameroon’s crisis-affected regions, access to clean, reliable energy is essential for resilience. Our Clean Energy for All Project goes beyond providing solar solutions—it’s an initiative that empowers communities to rebuild and grow. Each woman’s progress is a step toward a more resilient, self-sufficient future for her family and community.
A Brighter, Greener Future for All

H4BF is proud to be supporting these inspiring women as they take their first steps into clean energy entrepreneurship. Together, we’re working towards a brighter, more sustainable future—one that supports economic resilience, community health, and environmental protection.
Let’s celebrate these women as they light the way forward!
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand this project and transform communities through clean energy access.
