In Cameroon, as across much of Africa, climate change is no longer a distant threat-it's a current crisis. Communities, particularly in rural and crisis-affected regions, are facing increasingly severe climate impacts such as unpredictable rainfall, droughts, flooding, and rising temperatures. These impacts, combined with environmental degradation and economic inequality, are exacerbating existing challenges. Marginalized groups-especially women, youth, and indigenous populations-are disproportionately affected, yet often excluded from climate solutions.
At Hope for a Better Future (H4BF), we are committed to fighting climate injustice in Cameroon. We work to give those most affected by climate change the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to overcome these challenges, and to empower them to advocate for fair, inclusive, and sustainable climate policies.
