Raise Your Helping Hand
The ongoing conflict in Cameroon’s North West Region has led to the displacement of thousands of individuals, especially women and children. These displaced populations face grave risks as they flee unsafe areas, often traveling long distances through forests and unsafe terrain, without access to basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care. Sadly, many displaced women and children are subjected to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), as they are forced to exchange their dignity for basic survival needs.
To combat these challenges, H4BF, with the support of the SERRA Foundation, organized a training program for 10 women who were displaced by the conflict. The training provided them with business skills and grants, equipping them with the tools they need to regain control over their lives and build economic opportunities. This initiative represents a significant step towards empowering women and girls, enabling them to break the cycle of dependency and violence.
