This prestigious honor, awarded on World Wetlands Day (Feb 2nd), highlights our unwavering commitment to sustainable energy solutions that protect the environment, empower communities, and create economic opportunities—while also contributing to wetland conservation and the fight against deforestation.

Wetlands play a crucial role in climate regulation, biodiversity conservation, and water purification. However, they are increasingly threatened by deforestation, excessive firewood harvesting, and unsustainable land use practices. Our clean energy initiatives directly contribute to wetland protection by reducing reliance on firewood and preserving natural ecosystems.

Through our #CleanEnergyForAll and #CameroonRenewED projects, we are advancing wetland conservation while promoting renewable energy by providing:

✅ Eco-friendly cookstoves that reduce firewood consumption, helping to protect wetland forests and prevent degradation.

✅ Solar-powered cookstoves, harnessing renewable energy for cleaner, more efficient cooking, reducing reliance on charcoal made from wetland trees.

✅ Sustainable charcoal made from agricultural waste, offering an alternative to tree-cutting near wetland areas.

✅ Alternative biomass fuels, easing pressure on wetlands and promoting responsible energy use.

✅ Training for youth and women to become green business innovators and entrepreneurs, ensuring long-term adoption of clean energy technologies.
